Note to self: Yorkshire Pudding is not actual pudding.

It's actually this:

How on earth does a piece of bread get named "pudding"? Ask the people of Yorkshire.

I was in Yorkshire for the weekend, staying at Ampleforth Abbey-- a Benedictine monastery--for a retreat.

What can I say? The place was beautiful and we had a prayerful time and many opportunities for fellowship and for making new friends. I'll be brief and just say that if there's something I learned is that God's plan is perfect for you, and He wants you to have peace, at this very moment of your life. One more thing: you know those things that make your heart beat fast? Those things that you are so passionate about? Your vocation might be there! God's not going to put you in a line of work that makes you miserable--He wants you to be fruitful!

Anyway, here are some pics!!

Yorkshire pudding was good, though. Just not pudding.
